Bike fitting review

I gave Andrea a bike fitting yesterday and received this wonder review from her.  I hope to see more people coming into UDC now for fittings so you can have more FUN on your rides.

Mike Boester

Hi Fellow Randonneurs,

For those of you who would like to enhance the quality of riding long distances by getting a bike fit, I'd like to recommend Mike Boester from Undiscovered Country located in Los Altos off of Foothill Blvd and 280/85 on the Peninsula.  I went there yesterday, with my new cycling shoes and speed play pedals/cleats, and after completing the initial questionnaire, Mike spent 2 hours plus setting me up just right.  He said that when I ride: "the bike should almost be unnoticeable!"

After the fitting, I went for a little test spin around the block, and after my feedback, Mike made some more adjustments, and off I went again.  He asked me to return after I've been riding the bike with the new setup for about a week to provide feedback and make further "fine tunes" if needed.  And best part of all, it isn't as expensive as other places charge for this service.

Mike Boester has over 25 years of fitting experience and works with all types of riders, including race teams.  I recommend him because he's highly concerned about getting YOU the BEST bike fit possible.

PS:  Another cool thing about the store is that if you're in the area, you can just drop in for coffee, nature break, shower, chat, rest, etc.  They also have Full Carbon with Ultegra bicycle rentals available if you have friends in town who would like to ride but don't want to bring their own bikes... For the weekend, it's $90.00 pick up Friday - return Monday!  For the whole week, it's $154.00.  Super Awesome!  For a fee, they'll also deliver the bikes to your house.

I couldn't be happier to have these guys in my back yard.  I'll be stopping in a lot more from now on.

Andrea
